Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance - Good, bad or indifferent

Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance - Good, bad or indifferent There can be few in America who do not know the name of the insurance provider America's oldest health. But, despite his age and the fact that it provides coverage to about one third of all Americans, the good is health insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield? Many people using Blue Cross Blue Shield appear to have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance provides a relatively inexpensive alternative to many other health plans, but on the other hand, it also seems that this is very much a case of "you get what you pay '. Certainly, the cost to Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance is relatively low, but the price paid for this is often seen in the fact that it takes forever to get the care you need. It can often take several weeks just to get an appointment and, once you get to see a doctor, then it can take several weeks, if not months, to get a referral to a specialist if it proves necessary. The real problem, of course, is that this is not limited to apply to Blue Cross Blue Shield and there are a significant number of other providers out there that are just as bad. Whether you are looking at HMO, PPO, or any other health professional, many of them have their problems and, invariably, the root of the problem is simply the old question of money. Well, in the long run, of course, the only thing that will really make a difference is to move to a system of health care single payer. In those countries where everyone pays into a central health system through their taxes to all, regardless of whether they have money or not, have their health needs met and gone are the days when we saw families suffering simply because of the inability to meet the bill from your doctor. Until the day when we have a single health system paying a significant number of Americans living as they do now with the fear of getting sick, knowing that if this were to happen, it could put a strain on their resources come than good it could land on that debt simply never recover. Enough daydreaming though because the fact of the matter is that universal health care is a long way to go if it is at all and, for the moment, we are stuck with what we have for many means Blue Cross Blue Shield. Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance may not be the best in the world, but perhaps with the other providers available, which is not a bad choice for the price. At the end of the day, Blue Cross Blue Shield has been around longer than any other insurer and provides health insurance for a greater proportion of the population than anyone else, so they must be doing something right. This is, of course, just a personal opinion and his own experience can be very different.
